ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Tom Karod. For nearly three decades, I've served the midcoast Maine community, specializing in probate, real estate, and estate planning. This region is more than just my workplace—it's my home. I've witnessed firsthand the unique challenges and opportunities our community faces, and I've dedicated my career to providing expert and compassionate legal guidance. At the heart of my practice lies a genuine care for every individual and family I work with. I understand that legal matters, especially those concerning our loved ones, homes, and futures, can be daunting, which is why I pride myself on being not just an attorney but a listener, advocate, and partner.

Through the years, I've realized that meticulous attention to detail, combined with sincere compassion, makes all the difference in achieving the best possible outcomes for my clients. Whether you're planning for your family's future, navigating real estate transactions, or seeking guidance through the probate process, I'm here with the expertise and dedication to support you every step of the way.

Outside the legal world, I enjoy riding my bike and hiking. If I'm not hiking up some hill with hopelessly optimistic goals of "being one with nature," I'm at our camp, attempting to master the art of relaxation. My incredible wife is a great teacher—between you and me, she's the real brains in the family. Luna, our dog is possibly the world's best squirrel chaser, though she's yet to understand they always get away. It's these little moments and chuckles that keep me grounded and remind me of the beauty in everyday life.
